Celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of Chinese People's
Liberation Army Navy have entered their third day in eastern Chinese port city
of Qingdao. Highlights of Wednesday's activities include meetings between senior
military officials from China and other countries.

Seamen of different countries are scheduled to visit each other's vessels and
exchange their ideas. China has called on the navies of the world work together
to combat threats such as terrorism and piracy.
Also, the Qingdao port will be open to the public on Wednesday afternoon so
people can look at some of the vessels in Thursday's fleet parade.
