Carrillo Leyva is the son of drug kingpin, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who was
one of Mexico's most important drug traffickers before he died of plastic
surgery complications in 1997.

A week ago, the government placed Carrillo Leyva on a list of 24 of the
country's most-wanted narcotics suspects. It offered a reward of 30 million
pesos or about 2.1 million US dollars for his capture.

Rodrigo Esparza, Federal Police Commissioner, said, "In order to locate
Vicente Carrillo Leyva, federal police and the public federal minister performed
intelligence tasks in the field and in the office. They identified the net of
relations in which he operated. And with this, we were able to spot him
yesterday morning in the Bosques de las Lomas neighborhood in Mexico City, where
he was exercising in a park nearby his house."
